Glendon Percy X Woorivale Spice Percy is a young dog belonging to Chris Rickert, Clifton. He’s a very good dog on cattle and has also penned in Arena trials. Chris does a lot of mustering in tough country, goats, sheep and cattle. Percy is outstanding in this role with plenty of stamina and dedication. Percy is by Koomalah’s Ted (Koomalah’s BasilXGraewoodglen Rita). Known as ‘Sir Ted’ to his owners Cate and Karl at the Glendon stud, he has been top dog there for many years. Percy’s dam is Karana Cath (Milburn BasilXUD Scarlett). Koomalah’s Basil( Wyreema JocketteXRiana Spider) was a good old dog bred by Arthur Crumblin who still speaks of his Wyreema sire as one of the best dogs he’s owned.These pups should be extra handy on both sheep and cattle, IB 6.7%. Litter born Oct.12, 1 red/tan dog, 1 black/tan dog, 3 black/tan bitches.

This mating should produce some very classy dogs. The IB % for this litter is 14.1. Litter born 22/9/08 1 red/tan bitch 
AkubraXDelta pups at 6 weeks. RECENT LITTERS Litter born 23/7/08 4 red/tan bitches This litter is has an I.B. of 8%. I expect an even litter of quality pups capable of working sheep or cattle. Dart has an I.B. of 20.2% and is by a good old Riana dog, R.Bounty, who was a son of Driftwood Clyde. Dart’s homo.% to D.Clyde is 6.3. Lyddy was a maiden bitch and she was rather surprised when these pups turned up. Surprisingly, they all survived her rather clumsy and frantic early attention and are now doing very well indeed. The weather has been absolutely freezing, but they are putting on weight and growing quickly. All pups have been placed. Riana GlideX Riana Quill 11 due 24/7/08 Pups born 27/7/08 This litter was planned to maximise the influence of Riana Quinn, who has been a very good old brood bitch. I wouldn’t breed so closely unless it was for a specific reason, and these pups will followed carefully. The litter has been placed. The I.B. for the litter is 26.5% and the homozygosity index for Quinn is 12.5% I believe the bitch line is of great importance in breeding and will be watching these pups carefully. The mating is only feasible because of the care taken at Riana over the years to cull heavily for unwanted traits.

Karmala Rook(R. FinchXW.Spice) has been sold to Stewart Oates, Jimargil, Menindee. Riana Delta Dawn X Tracker ‘The Chief’ 6 pups born 22/2/08 All black and tan, 5 dogs, 1 bitch The Chief is a nice young dog by Riana GlideX Pud’s Sookie. This mating has a 16.9 inbreeding index concentrating on Driftwood Clyde blood, the small outcross away from Riana is intended to add a little calmness and strength. These pups should work cattle and sheep. Delta’s last litter to Karmala Spike included some outstanding pups. K.Swaggy is with Arthur Crumlin who is pleased with his progress.

ChiefXDelta pups 6 wks Karrawarra Gift to Riana Glide Gift whelped 14/2/08, 8 pups, all placed 5 black/tan bitches The first time Gift was mated to Glide I wrote here: This proved an excellent mating and Gift has been mated to Glide three times. Pups continue to impress, and are some of the best I have bred. An outcross mating that was very successful… Glide and Gift are alike in work style, which is probably one of the most important ingredients for a successful mating.
