McKenzie is a litter sister to Mina Wylie. The litter was named after famous but seldom heard of Australian women. Here’s a bit about Flo McKenzie from Wikipedia:

Florence Violet McKenzie OBE (née Granville; 28 September 1890^[1] – 23 May 1982), affectionately known as “Mrs Mac“, was Australia’s first female electrical engineer, founder of the Women’s Emergency Signalling Corps (WESC) and lifelong promoter for technical education for women.^[1] She campaigned successfully to have some of her female trainees accepted into the all-male Navy, thereby originating the Women’s Royal Australian Naval Service (WRANS).^[2] Some 12,000 servicemen passed through her signal instruction school in Sydney, acquiring skill in Morse code and visual signalling (flag semaphore and International Code of Signals).^[3]

McKenzie is a regular worker in the Zeimer’s team of dogs up at Bracewell. She spent a few months with Sean Barrett as a young bitch and when she returned home was found to have added a useful block/nosebite to her talent of working wider with cover. A very obedient, happy bitch, always willing.

McKenzie was mated to Karmala Blye in 2022 and those pups have gone on to be very useful dogs. Her litter by Eventine Ralph is only five weeks old as I write this, but are very happy, outgoing pups. Following a very successful mating of Sid to Mina, I thought it would be lovely to get another litter like those pups, so McKenzie’s due to whelp to Sid 20/11/24.
