March 2026

Nice rain, about 3″ in Feb. so plenty for the sheep to keep down. I slashed the old couch grass beforehand and it’s nice and green and hay fever inducing again! The top photo above was taken at the end of January, the one under it yesterday. The difference the rain has made is obvious. The sorghum crop was sprayed out to stop regrowth from the roots and a couple of rounds have been harvested, this a nasty habit which does nothing to lower cancer rates!

Emma is battling to recover from a nasty accident some months ago and has also had to battle some very bad decisions by the Queensland Health system… which have prolonged her recovery time considerably. She’s having to be very careful at present, so the pups are suffering from my unprofessional handling! I loved taking a pup around the farm with me and letting it do little jobs it could cope with, training it in the process, when I was farming in Victoria. Within a year it would be fully trained. I’m not so good at this sort of training and it would help if I was a fast runner! Anyway, iIt’s time we sorted some big pups and this one is for sale only because she has some white markings and is likely to throw white. And we have others we prefer. This is Guess, two photos below vid..

Her brother Gundeeguy is also for sale but more suited to a small acreage situation. A lovely pup to handle socially but at present he has no wish to include you in his world when on sheep! We keep very few male pups and they need to be outstanding in all respects. He’s a nice friendly boy.

We still have two Jack x Clover girls and find it hard to decide between them. Ante is stylish with quite  a lot of eye, Dee is less intense and might be the better bitch ongoing. Ante sht

This is her sister Dee, too long to post like the Ante one. She’s used to the rake, I rub them all over with it so they’re not worried too much.

There are two younger dog pups, Anntre Trev and Rydal Mace who can grow up a bit more before going on sheep, both are interesting! Also Eventine Caro (Karmala Rajah x E. Buzi).

The Breezebend Brad x Karmala Sass II pups had some professional handling when Em and Derek’s Rose spent a morning helping me put collars on. They’re a very confident litter, 7 weeks now and almost ready to go after Selwyn picks his.

Tilly(Jakeeva Sage…. Riana Toby x Karmala Niggle)has been a perfect mum, her four are lovely pups.

Karmala Tash was dropped back this morning, she’s been having a great life with the Hartley’s down near Texas and continuing to work…although since finding where the ducks lay she’s put on a few kg. Still very fit, she’d be ideal for a family with a few sheep if anyone needs a hand. A few pics of her!

  2026!

This little girl has been added to the pack recently, Riana Bevvi! Victor has a lot of dogs and pups for sale and as I’ve always tried to keep a Riana based family over the past 2 decades will give her a try. She’s super friendly and confident, a good start.

I have more dogs here than usual with Derek and Emma “in transit” between properties and life is pretty busy! Lovely to see some of the youngsters again though.
