Tilly is a classic type with a great nature, wide casting and stylish.
She is a litter sister to Karmala Glen and spent 8 months with David Hart at Oakwood. Arthur Crumblin then took her to train further and Tilly has had valuable mustering experience in the Traprock country, a test for any dog. Arthur liked her temperament very much, and she settled in with him quickly.
It is by this exposure to different work environments that I am able to accurately assess a dog’s strengths and weaknesses.
Tilly had a litter to Arthur’s good dog Whitehead’s Tracker early 2011 and Arthur has a bitch from this litter called Karmala Treat whom he considers the best bitch he’s owned since Riana Spider many years ago. High praise!
Tilly then went to Goondi. with Matt Bignell and enjoyed the plentiful sheep work; she lives to work.
I have since lent her to Mark Wendelborn as I have two full sisters Lily and Gemma. Mark mated her to Blackdog Sam II in winter, 2015. She never came back!
Kevin Noble has a good dog by Sam from Tilly called Butch, and he sent me up a nice pup by him in 2022, Koonamara Quilt. We have high hopes for Quilt. She’s just gone up north to be tried on cattle(1/23). She has a lot of style and a lot of grunt, hoping this legacy from Tilly will become a very good brood bitch in years to come.
